    Israel's national wheelchair basketball teams, currently preparing for the European championship scheduled to commence in Israel on 6 September, received the blessing of Israeli president, Mr. Shimon Peres, who hosted the women's and men's teams, as well as ambassadors and representatives of some of the participating countries, representatives of the Prime Minister's office, the Ministry of Sports, and sponsors of the event.

    The Israeli Paralympics swimmers opened the first day of the tournament, Denmark Open, successfully by winning 3 gold medals, I silver and 2 bronze.
