The Israeli wheelchair basketball team has defeated the French team three times.The Israeli team, coached by Arik Pinto, has defeated France in three games: 79-75, 90-77, 70-56.
During the games which took place Thursday-Saturday, Arik Pinto tested the capableness of the Israeli team which will participate in the Paralympics games in two weeks. The last game will take place on Sunday at Raanana.
The City Council of Raanana gave grants to the athletes that will take part in the Paralympics games: the basketball player Avi Lerman and the swimmer Keren Leibovich. They also decided to give grants to father and son Dor Ofer and Guy that took upon themselves to escort the blind marathon runner Beza Nebabue.
The international basketball referee, Ziv Radumski, will be part of the delegation to Beijing and will participate in the basketball tournaments.
