Saturday, the opening ceremony of the Paralympics games, Beijing.

The open ceremony of the Paralympics Games will be held on Saturday, at 3 pm at the Olympic Stadium in Beijing.


Over four thousand athletes, with various disabilities, from 148 countries will take part in competitions in various sports.

Israel was represented by 42 athletes, including the blind, amputees, paralyzed victims and cerebral palsy victims, will compete in eleven different sports.

Today (Thursday) the raising of the Israeli flag ceremony took place at the Olympic Village, with the presence of Tourism Minister Ruhama Avraham, who will also attend the opening ceremony.

Among her words of blessing, the minister said: "I admire the endless capabilities inherent in man. Capabilities spirit, determination and will power, overcome the limits of the physical body."

On Friday, the delegation will be hosted by the Israeli ambassador in Beijing preparing for the opening ceremony on Saturday, which should last about 3 hours.

The Israeli first channel will broadcast live the opening ceremony in Beijing.
