Over 4,000 athletes with different disabilities from 148 countries will take part in Paralympics Games – the games will begin on Sunday in Beijing.The Paralympics Games began in 1960 in Rome and this year will be the thirteenth time.
Israel will be represented by forty-two athletes, members of the IDF veteran's organization, Etgarim and Ilan, and will compete in eleven different sports.
The head of the Israeli delegation is Moses Matalon, who is the chairman of IDF veterans.
