The Israel basketball team was defeated this morning by Team USA with a score of 53-76, as part of the basketball tournament held at the Paralympics Games in Beijing.Team USA, candidates to win the gold medal, led at halftime: 16-40.
After the first quarter the score was close, Team USA led by one point: 10-11.
The second quarter, was dominated by Team USA with a high shooting percentage, Team USA increased the difference to 23 points in halftime.
The Israeli team was no able to reduce the difference till the end of the game.
The large crowd, which was mainly Chinese, encouraged the Israeli team, but unfortunately that was not enough to change the outcome of the game.
The same crowed is expected to encourage the Chinese team tomorrow who will be play team against the Israeli team.
The score leaders of the Israeli team are: Dotan Meishar with 27 points and Lior Dror with 10 points.
