COMPETITION VENUE: Basketball Hall, Metro West

ELIGIBILITY: Couples:
  • The 2009 IPC Wheelchair Dance Sport European Championships is closed and only athletes from European NPCs can enter. The athletes must be registered by their respective NPC.
  • All athletes must have been licensed from IPC Wheelchair Dance Sport for the season 2009.
  • For Combi dance, a dance couple must be comprised of one (1) male and one (1) female partner; one of them must be a wheelchair user. The dancer in the wheelchair has to have a minimum disability. The standing dancers must be able to perform as an able-bodied dancer.
  • For Duo dance, a dance couple must be comprised of one (1) male and one (1) female partner, both of them has to be wheelchair users and both dancers have to have a minimum disability.
  • All wheelchair dancers must have a minimum disability. Standing dancers must be able to perform as an able-bodied dancer.
  • Each NPC is allowed to send a maximum of three couples per class in Regional Championships.

TIME LIMIT: A minimum of one and a half minutes for waltz, tango, slow foxtrot, quickstep, and minimum of one minute for Viennese waltz.
A minimum of one and a half minutes for samba, cha-cha-cha, rumba, paso doble and minimum of one minute for jive.
DANCE FLOOR: A minimum of 250 m².
PROCEDURE: Couples are dancing in two classes:
Class 1: 14 points or less;
Class 2: more than 14 points. Classification Procedure, see IPC
For DUO the class is depending on the sum of points of the classification results of both partners.

Classification will be held on Friday, 16th of October at the Hotel by the IPC WDS Classification Team.

CLASSIFICATION PROCESS: Classification will be held on Friday, 16th of October at the Hotel by the IPC WDS Classification Team. Detailed schedule will be offered after the end and review of the final entries.
DOPING: Doping is forbidden in accordance with IPC rules and regulations (see IPC Handbook Section 2, Chapter 1.2)
ADJUDICATORS: 7 international adjudicators from different countries;
1 non-voting Chairman of the Adjudicators
ENTRY: All entry forms must be signed by the NPC President or Secretary General and to be returned to the Organizing Committee and IPC Wheelchair Dance Sport by fax or mail not later than the 30th of June 2009 for the First Entry Form and the 14th of August 2009 for the Final Entry Form.
LIABILITY: The organizer is not liable for personal injuries or damage of property. Each NPC is responsible for health insurance of each member of their delegation
COMPETITION FEE: The competition fee is 300€ per participant and payable to the IPC. The NPC Delegation Calculation form must be fill out and returned to IPC Wheelchair Dance Sport no later than 30th of June 2009.
ACCOMODATION: The official hotel for accommodation of all participants shall be the Kibbutz Shefayim Hotel

MEALS: All participants will be provided with meals:
  - October 15: dinner at the hotel
  - October 16: lunch, dinner at the hotel
  - October 17, 18: lunch, dinner at the hotel
  - October 19: breakfast
and a supplementary meal at the sport hall.
TRANSPORTATION: Please, fill out the form of your arrival and departure time from your flight. The Organizing Committee will provide transportation from/to airport to/from the hotel "Kibbutz Shefayim" and local transportation from the hotel "Kibbutz Shefayim" to the training/sport venues and back.
VISAS: For those countries that need entry visas to Israel, please, contact the Embassy of Israel in your respective country.
LANGUAGE: Translation services will be provided.
